Page Title
Added inside the head tags - probably a page's most important attribute and used to indicate the file's exact subject.

Page View
Anytime a user looks at any page on a website through their browser.

Pagejacking
Stealing high-ranking web page content from another site and placing it on your site in the hopes of increasing your own site's search engine rankings.

PageMatch
A cost-per-click advertising program that serves your site's ad on a page that contains related content.

PageRank
Google's unique patented system of predicting the value of a web page's relevance and rank.

PFI (Paid Inclusion)
Paying a search engine or directory to include your web pages in its index.

Paid Placement
Paying a search engine to have your listing show up prominently. These listings are usually denoted as sponsored listings.

Pay-per-click (PPC)
A technique where ad placements are determined by how much is bid on a particular keyword or phrase.

PDF
Adobe's Portable Document Format - although widely used as a file format rendering pages across multiple platforms, it has several drawbacks for usability.

PFP (Pay For Performance)
A system in which payment for services is only made when a conversion takes place.

PHP
An [open source] programming language for building dynamic web sites.

Plagiarism
The unauthorized copying of another author's work, and/or appropriating the content from some other website.

Pop-under
A pop-up that appears underneath the currently active web browser window.

Pop-up
A web page that displays within a new, typically smaller, web browser window.

Pull-down List
On a web form, where the user chooses from a list of items.

Quality Score
Number used by Google when measuring the quality of your keywords, based on the clickthrough rate for the keyword, relevance of the actual ad's text, historical performance, landing page performance and other relevancy factors.

Query
A keyword, or keyword phrase inquiry entered into a search engine.
